Building a Vibrant & Diverse Economy for Parker County

Chris is the Executive Director of the Parker County EDC, where he leads efforts to promote business growth and job creation in the County.

​

Prior to his current role, Chris served as the Executive Vice President of Economic Development for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Senior Project Manager for Columbus 2020, and Special Projects Manager for the State of Ohio.

 

Throughout his career, he has led initiatives in business attraction, retention, and expansion, securing over $8 billion in investments and creating and retaining more than 50,000 jobs.

Chris has a background in land use planning, civil and environmental engineering, construction, land development, and government at the local and state levels. He holds a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University and an Economic Development Finance Professional credential from the National Development Council. He has also been voted by his peers twice to the Top 50 North American Economic Developer list through Consultant Connect.

Amber leads the daily operations of the Parker County EDC, where she applies a dynamic combination of strategic insight and practical leadership. Her career began in the U.S. Navy, where she spent over 20 years as an Intelligence Specialist and Senior Enlisted Leader. This experience developed her expertise in mission planning, analytical thinking, and guiding high-performance teams.

After her military service, Amber became the Business Outreach Specialist for Workforce Solutions North Central Texas in Weatherford. In this role, she built essential partnerships with employers, nonprofits, and training providers across Parker and Palo Pinto Counties. 

 

Amber is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts in Intelligence Studies, with graduation anticipated in May 2026.
